This review will consist of two parts: (a) a brief description of a new method to determine Vo, the circular speed of the local standard of rest, and which, of course, plays a fundamental role in the mass distribution of the Galaxy, and (b) a review of the globular clusters as tracers of the mass distribution in the Galaxy.
