Abstract

Continuum radiative transfer is a physical process that must be taken into account in almost all astrophysical situations. Indeed, many astrophysical objects of different natures show continuum dust grain emission: circumstellar discs around young stellar objects, evolved stars, active galactic nuclei. I will focus the present discussion on (dust) continuum radiative transfer and more precisely on the Monte Carlo approach to the solution of the problem (but not only).
