Summary

A 59-year-old man with no history of smoking and alcohol use presented with dysphagia. At clinical examination, the left tonsil appeared hypertrophic, with an irregular shape and soft in consistence (Figure 1). Preoperative imaging confirmed the presence of a lesion measuring 2 × 0.5 × 0.5 cm, localized in the tonsil, without involvement of near structures. After an incisional biopsy, the patient underwent surgery with excision of the mass.
