Summary

A female newborn, soon after spontaneous vaginal delivery at 40 weeks gestation, was noted to have a 2.5 × 1.5-cm midline polypoid oral lesion arising from the gingiva of the alveolar ridge of the maxilla. The mass was excised with the clinical suspicion of teratoma. The patient was free of disease at 12-month follow-up.
