Summary

A 79-year-old woman came to our attention for a swelling in the left parotid gland that had been present for 14 months. Ultrasound examination showed a vascularized well-circumscribed nodule in the superficial lobe of the gland. A fine-needle aspiration biopsy was reported as consistent with a low-grade salivary gland tumor. The presence of multivacuolated cells was also noted. The superficial lobe of the parotid gland with the nodule was removed surgically.
