Summary

And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar bought him (because he saw that he was handsome, that he might practise sodomy with him, and at once a decree was issued against him, and his testicles dried up, and he became impotent; and he was an officer of Pharaoh's, the chief of the executioners, an Egyptian) with pledges from the Arabs which had brought him down thither.

And the word of the Lord was for Joseph's help, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.

And his master saw that the word of the Lord was for his help, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

And Joseph found mercies in his sight, and he ministered unto him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

And it came to pass from the time that he made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house because of the merit of Joseph; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had, in the house and in the field.

And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not aught that was with him, save his wife with whom he lay.
