Book reviews

European Law Open does not publish regular book reviews but does publish 'Books and classics' pieces.

These pieces are 4,000 to 12,000 words excluding references and aim at deep engagements around old and new books and revisiting “classic” articles. They should delve into what each contribution has to say about the past, present and the future, about scholarship and social reality. This might include in-depth review articles as well as other formats such as interviews with authors and debates or discussions focused on an individual book.

Books and classics pieces for consideration can be submitted via the journal's electronic submission system here but individuals may prefer to approach the editorial team first with their idea via marked for the attention of the ELO books and classics editors (see the list of editors here).

Books and classics pieces will be reviewed by the editorial team.
