Summary
Our aim in the final paragraphs of this detailed examination of the ethics of decision making for and about incompetents is not to repeat the material already presented in the overview sketched in the introduction or in the more detailed and focused summaries found in the various chapters. Instead, we wish to emphasize a few selected implications of our study for the future of research and public policy in this complex area.
