Summary
The management of cancer during pregnancy is a clinical dilemma since it involves two persons, the mother and the fetus. The complex medical, ethical, psychological and religious issues in pregnant women diagnosed with cancer are best addressed by a dedicated multidisciplinary team composed of obstetricians, oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, paediatricians, psychologists, pharmacologists, anaesthetists and clinical nurses.
