Published online by Cambridge University Press:  23 October 2020

Extract

Samla's fifty-second annual convention will be held on 11–13 November in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Peachtree Center Plaza Hotel, and approximately 2,200 registrants are expected to attend one hundred separate sections, discussion circles, special sessions, affiliate meetings, and general sessions. Featured speakers will include James Dickey, Lewis Grizzard, Doris Betts, Germaine Brée, Morse Peckham, Paul Zimmer, Madison Jones, and Roy Blount, but the bill of fare features much more, such as the annual exhibition of books, which attracts publishers from across the country. Members will receive preregistration materials and the Program issue of the South Atlantic Review in early September and should quickly send in their hotel reservation forms and preregistration materials. Individuals may join SAMLA at any time by forwarding dues of $9 to Drawer CA, University, AL 35486, but preregistration forms for the convention can be sent only to those who join before 1 October.
