Modern psychiatry is still not able to avoid the use of coercive measures in spite of that there is an effort to minimalize its use. Data were gathered during EUNOMIA international project. Our presentation mainly focuses on reasons and predictors of application of mechanical and chemical restraints and their prevention. coercive measures, involuntary admission, predictors, reasons.
