In the Psychiatric Clinic in Timisoara, two groups of patients with acute and transient psychosis, were studied. One study was retro-prospective on a group of 35 cases which had their onset in 2001 and were studied in 2007. Another study was on 20 cases, which had their first episode in 2007 and are followed prospectively. We were interested in: genetics, the occurrences around the onset, the symptoms of the first episode, the clinical and social evolution after one year from the onset and in the first group also, after 5 years from the onset, for the cases that could be contacted. We have noticed a significant clinical and evolutional polymorphism.
