1 My woodcut, as it happens, was Dot taken from Daremberg : but there could hardly be much difference between two diagrams illustrative of this passage. Woodcuts, by the way, seem to have an alarming effect upon Mr. Wilson : he always charges, head down and eyes shut, whenever he meets one.
