1 In nearly but not quite all these twenty-three cases P. Vettori, in his marginal notes to the Aldine ed. preserved in the Munich Library, gives the same reading as H. S. Stephens made Veitori's acquaintance on his Italian journey: perhaps some one will say that he got his readings from Vettori, but I hardly think it is likely.
