The Council of the American Society of Church History met at 7:30 P.M., 27 December 1982, in Club Room A of the Shoreham Hotel, Washington, D.C., with the following officers and members of Council in attendance: William J. Courtenay, Jane Dempsey Douglass, C. C. Goen, Richard L. Greaves, Nathan 0. Hatch, Stuart C. Henry, Fred J. Hood, William B. Miller, John M. Mulder, Glenn W. Olsen, John W. O'Malley, Winton U. Solberg, Stephen J. Stein, and Robert F. Trisco. Also present were Catherine L. Albanese, Marvin L. Bergman, Henry W. Bowden, Robert T. Handy, William R. Hutchison, Robert M. Kingdon, Gottfried G.
