Summary
Someone
is talking to me
about
my brother's body.
She doesn't know
in a certain light his
hair
took the colour of
blue-black ink
and how he would
wind himself
around my mother's body
to sleep.
She doesn't
know he was
born with
one
ear-lobe curled
tight
as a shell;
how she refused
the doctors and used
those first hours
to press
the new
skin flat.
