Summary

Most developed countries have a professional body that operates a publications programme and arranges conferences, meetings and other professional development opportunities for records managers. Most professional organizations for archivists and some organizations for information managers also take an active interest in matters relating to records management. Details of the main professional bodies based in English-speaking countries or operating internationally are given below, together with the titles of their published journals.
