Summary

This chapter discusses the relationship between the ICC and the TJRC, which was minimal. It also discusses the strategy undertaken by the Government of Kenya to prevent the ICC cases from moving forward, and the Government's attempt to present the TJRC as an alternative to the ICC. It provides a brief summary of the jurisprudence of crimes against humanity developed in the context of the Kenyan cases, and the tension between the African Union and the ICC arising out of both the Kenyan and Sudanese cases.
