Summary

Part of the depositary's normal functions is to notify the treaty's signatories of legally relevant facts relating to that treaty. Art. 75 lists the categories of legally relevant facts relating to the Convention that must be so notified (History, Vol. I, pp. 306, 308; Vol. II, pp. 444, 1009). The signatory States mentioned in Art. 75 include States that have ratified, accepted or approved the Convention after signature.
