Summary
This appendix comprises post–1990s Famine monuments and memorials surveyed over the course of this research. It should not be considered exhaustive – particularly with respect to the many smaller community commemorations located throughout Ireland – and includes primarily new three–dimensional monuments or significant re–dedications of pre–existing monuments (as opposed to plaques or signpostings of Famine–era relics).
More extensive details (including inscriptions, photographs, location and further historical details) may be found on www.irishfaminememorials.com (maintained by the author). As this is an evolving survey, new records of new monuments and other additions/corrections are most welcome.
Listings are organized by country and region/county/state. Information includes city/town, region, date, title of monument (untitled works listed as Famine Memorial), artist (if a visual artist was commissioned) and commissioning group or individual.
