Summary
Weinberg referred to the 1960s as his ‘starry years’. In that decade, his works had been performed by the likes of Rostropovich, Oistrakh, and the Borodin Quartet; he had been featured in several ‘spotlight’ articles in the Soviet press; and he had even travelled abroad as a recognised figure of Soviet music.
