In the original publication of this articleReference Busch1, the spelling of Marjorie Michelmore's name is incorrect: the proper spelling is Margery Michelmore. Her Peace Corps placement was in Nigeria (not Ghana) and the events described involved Nigerian individuals (not Ghanian individuals).

In addition, the citation “Zimmerman, Innocents Abroad, 76–77” has been added to footnote 24.

The author apologizes for these errors.
