Fosso della crescenza, 1962

Oggetto della campagna di scavo 1962 al fosso della Crescenza è stato un mausoleo di età Giulioclaudia visibile nell'argine del fosso, insieme con i resti di un edificio di fine II secolo d.C. accanto ad essa. Questo articolo raccoglie una serie di studi sulla topografia della via Veientana, sulla stratigrafia dello scavo, sulla natura e le cause del deposito alluvionale posteriore all'abbandono dell'edificio, sulla decorazione architettonica del mausoleo, gli affreschi rinvenuti negli strati di fondazione dell'edificio più tardo e sui materiali rinvenuti. Infine i dati relativi a questo sito vengono inseriti nel quadro storico-topografico complessivo dell'area in epoca romana.
