Summary

This chapter will briefly highlight some of the applications to which landscape evolution models have been applied. The previous technical chapters can seem a bit dry and the motivation of this section is to provide some intuition about how and why various processes have been coupled, what the compelling research questions were/are that the studies were designed to address, and the types of results that were obtained. A comprehensive discussion of all work done in this area is too extensive to discuss here, however, this section will give the reader a flavour of the types of applications and publications from these applications to give them a place to start their online searching. The chapter will finish with some emerging application areas for landscape evolution models and reflect on how these problems may be approached.
