Summary
There are approximately 118 Irish Studies centres in the world at the time of writing: at least twelve in Ireland, eight in the UK, thirty-one in Europe, fifty-three in North America, two in South America, ten in Asia and two in Australasia. This total does not include the numerous universities and institutes of higher education that offer only one or two courses on an Irish subject. Some twenty-nine postgraduate courses in Irish Studies in the UK, for example, are not included.
