Myths and legends have been part of world storytelling for hundreds of years. Many myths and legends are important elements of the heritage and cultural history of a country. As a learning tool, the use of stories from Greek Mythology or British Folklore or Afro-Caribbean Tales, to name but a few, can inspire and develop creative writing, drama and literacy skills. Some lesser-known myths from around the world are also included below.
