Summary

We may at once describe the Procedure on the days of General Admission to Degrees–at the end of the Easter Term, in the month of June–after the issue of the Tripos Lists.

It may be noted that the names of the three classes of the successful candidates in the Mathematical Tripos–the Wranglers, the Senior Optimes and the Junior Optimes–in alphabetical order–are still proclaimed by the Moderators and Examiners in the Senate House; printed copies being thrown among the waiting under-graduates and students of Girton and Newnham. The same proceeding holds with regard to certain other Triposes.

On the Saturday, the first day for General Admission for Ordinary Degrees, at a Congregation at 9.30 a.m. the Supplicats are presented to the Senate for approval–the fees having been paid previously, and the Book of Subscriptions being signed in the Senate House.

A second Congregation is held at 11 a.m., the B. A.'s being admitted from the Colleges in turn immediately after presentation; the LL.B.'s follow, and those taking other degrees.

On the following Tuesday, there is again at 9.30 a.m. a presentation of Supplicats to the Senate for approval.

There are two other Congregations on the same day for the admission of those who have obtained Honours, etc.
