It all starts with a question...

Research Directions is a new series of question led, open access journals that have broken free of the limitations of the traditional publication model to better reflect the research process.

Shaped by an expert subject community, Research Directions are defined through a challenging range of research questions. The resulting research outputs are broken down into discrete parts: Results, Analysis and Impact.

Research Directions will provide a dynamic forum for researchers to collaborate, to debate and to accelerate high-quality open research in an accessible and transparent way. Watch our video to find out more.

All journals in the series operate under open peer review in full transparency to further accelerate discovery. Biotechnology DesignOne Health, and Quantum Technologies will launch in September 2022. Bioelectronics and Cyber-physical Systems will join the series later launching in January 2023.
