Por declaratión fechada el 25 de agosto de 1975 y recibida por el Gobierno suizo el 15 de octubre de 1975, el Gobierno del Estado de Qatar ha comunicado al Consejo federal la adhesión de aquel Estado a los cuatro Convenios de Ginebra de 1949; surtirá efectos el 15 de abril de 1976, y así asciende a 140 el número de Estados partes en los Convenios de Ginebra.
