Los días 7 y 8 de diciembre de 1993, la Asamblea del CICR tomó nota de que, por razones personales, el profesor Marco Mumenthaler, elegido miembro el año 1989, no deseaba continuar su mandato.

La Asamblea nombró asimismo miembro honorario del CICR al señor Pierre Languetin que llegó a la edad de la jubilación.
