1 Statutes at Large is the common title of the series described in the law as “the edition of the laws and treaties of the United States, published by Little and Brown.” That Boston firm published 17 volumes from 1845 to 1872, the original title being: The Public Statutes at Large of the United States of America. Since 1873 the Government Printing Office has issued The Statutes at Large of the United States, beginning with Volume 18, and is current in the 89th Congress, 2nd Session, as Volume 80.
