Abstract

Time-resolved degenerate four-wave-mixing studies have been conducted on solutions of transition-metal complexes of benzenedithiol using a 35 ps Nd:YAG laser operating at 1.064 μm. The nonlinear optical properties of the first-row Co(d7), Ni(d8), and Cu(d9) and the d8 group Ni and P t transition metal complexes are discussed.
