Abstract

The impedance response of amorphous ferromagnetic wires is measured in the 5 Hz-13 MHz frequency range by applying a small AC current of 1 mA (RMS). A DC magnetic field (in the 0–6.7 kA/m range) is simultaneously applied. The impedance response is analyzed by means of simple series and parallel equivalent circuits. An association of circuit elements and physical parameters of the sample is proposed.
