Abstract

The bond between concrete and reinforcing bars under impact loading was studied for plain, polypropylene fibre reinforced, and steel fibre reinforced concretes. It was found that adding steel fibres significantly improved the bond behaviour under impact loading; polypropylene fibres had a much smaller effect.
