Abstract

We study the dynamics of an MBE growth in the presence of the interfacial instabilities inducing a pyramidal or mound-type interfacial growth. By using a novel collective coordinates method similar to Bray’s theory of phase ordering, we discuss the statistics of the growing interfaces in the absence of slope selection, when the mounds slope indefinitely increases with time.
