Extract

Recently Lochhead (1968) has described the feeding and swimming behaviour of Conchoecia based on observations of C. spinirostris Claus and a species that was probably C. curta Lubbock. During the last four biological cruises by R.R.S. ‘Discovery’ observations have been made on living specimens of C. spinirostris which supplement Lochhead's observations.
