Further Observations on Podocyst Formation

The podocyst is a cuticular patella-shaped stage in the life-cycle of certain scyphopolyps and has been described recently (Chapman, 1968) from the standpoint of anatomy, histochemistry and development. New material has come to hand necessitating a reassessment of the views concerning the formation of this deceptively simple structure.
