The Search for Minerve

Extract

During the morning of 27 January 1968 the submarine Minerve was on exercise south of Cape Sicie. She was due to return to her base, Toulon, in the evening. Her last-known position was that fixed by a Breguet Atlantic aircraft on the same day at 0735. The last communication between this aircraft (then returning to base) and the submarine was at 0755.
