The third sentence of the second paragraph of John Traphagan's review of Lives in Motion: Composing Circles of Self and Community in Japan, edited by Susan Orpett Long (JAS 6l[l]:255–57) should read “Long presents a critique of some of the recent writing on self in Japan by anthropologists who emphasize the concept of self-as-relational-entity extant only within the context of movement between the social frames of inner (uchi) and outer (soto).”
