Women and health is the theme of the Upstate New York Women's History Organization's annual meeting to be held October 24–25, 1986, at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Feminist Teacher is a non-profit, multidisciplinary magazine committed to combatting sexism and other forms of oppression in the classroom. The magazine is published three times a year and is designed for teachers at all grade levels, preschool through graduate school, and those in traditional as well as nontraditional settings. The 1987 National Women's Studies Association Conference, “Weaving Women's Colors: A Decade of Empowerment,” will convene at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, June 24–28, 1987. The Canadian Journal of Feminist Ethics announces their first issue. The co-editors, who work in departments of religious studies and English, have taught courses in feminist theory and feminist ethics and have felt a need for a forum in print in which to discuss these areas. Since the contents of this publication are intended to reflect the needs and interests of the readers/participants, we might also include short book reviews, abstracts of recent work in the field, and communications about women's studies courses and about conferences in this field.

The Society for the Philosophy of Sex and Love will be meeting in San Francisco, CA, in March 1987., in conjunction with the Pacific Division of the American Philosophical Association.
The Society will be devoting its session to AIDS. We welcome papers on the ethical, legal, social, cultural, and political dimensions of AIDS.
Papers should have a reading time of roughly twenty minutes (10–12 pages, excluding footnotes, double-space). Send two copies of the paper to the address below, prepared for blind reviewing. San Francisco State University announces a tenure-track opening in the Philosophy Department. AOS: Philosophy and Religion, with ability to teach a selection of courses on philosophy of religion, religious thinkers, and comparative religious thought.
