* We were impressed to learn that, owing to opposition by conservationists, one rather devastating hydroelectric scheme involving the damming of a river had been delayed for some 40 years, and that, when the authorities governing a National Park had proposed to build a hotel within its bounds, this had been opposed by the more enlightened National Tourist Board.
