THE RHEUMAPTERA OF NORTH AMERICA (LEPIDOPTER A: GEOMETRIDAE)

Abstract

Two species of Rheumaptera occur in North America: R. hastata (Linnaeus) and R. subhastata (Nolcken). All stages of the two species are described and illustrated. Keys are given to separate the species in the adult and mature larval stages. Additional information on distribution (supplemented by maps), habits, and hosts is provided.

Existence de deux espèces de Rheumaptera en Amérique du Nord : R. hastata (Linné) et R. subhastata (Nolcken). Description et illustration de toutes les phases de développement de ces deux espèces. Clefs permettant de distinguer les espèces à l’état adulte et aux phases larvaires matures. Autres informations sur leur distribution (avec cartes), leurs habitudes et leurs hôtes.
