Abstract

Pinus pumila Regel growing at Takanegahara Plateau of Mt. Taisetsu, Hokkaido, Japan, were damaged by larvae of Cephalcia variegata Takeuchi and Gilpinia daisetusana Takeuchi. The feeding behavior and life history of C. variegata are reported.

Le pin Pinus pumila Regel du Plateau de Takanegahara du Mont Taisetsu à Hokkaido, Japon, est attaqué par les larves de Cephalcia variegata Takeuchi et de Gilpinia daisetusana Takeuchi. On rapporte ici des observations sur le comportement et le cycle vital de C. variegata.
