A New Genus, New Species and Previously Undescribed Morphs of Aphids (Homoptera: Aphididae)

Abstract

A new genus, Pseudasiphonaphis, is described, with type species Asiphonaphis anogis Hottes and Frison, 1931. Two new species are described, Macrosiphum olmsteadi from Aster spp., and Macrosiphum (Sitobion) manitobensis from Cornus stolonifera Michx. Descriptions of previously undescribed fundatrix, ovipara and male of Masonaphis wahnaga (Hottes), and ovipara and male of Dactynotus richardsi Robinson are also given.
