Vitamin D and cardiovascular disease

In a nutshell
Vitamin D does appear to be an important factor in CVD, including hypertension, but clinical application (apart from renal hypertension) is unproven.
Even so, vitamin D is so important to good health, and inadequate status so common, that clinicians should always bear it in mind, particularly in those with less sun exposure.
