Typical questions
• What is an HND?
• Is there a website where I can compare international qualifications with UK ones?
Points to consider
• These resources offer general guidance on academic qualifications. Students seeking advice on whether they meet the entrance criteria for specific courses should always be referred to the institution concerned. Look for the admissions section on the website.
• Another possible source of information is professional associations. They will be able to provide advice on accredited courses and/or qualifications for entering their field.
• Don't forget that the UK is comprised of a number of regions with different education systems. Information on Scotland and Northern Ireland will often be listed separately.
• Finally, remember to check when the website/directory was last updated!
