NACHBAUR, Franz. Add that in 1882 he was a member of the German Opera Company at Drury Lane, and on June 3 sang the part of Walther in ‘Die Meistersinger,’ originally sung by him on the production of the work at Munich in 1868. He also appeared as Adolar in ‘Euryanthe’ on June 13. [A.C.]

NAPOLEON, Arthur, son of Alexandre Napoleon, an Italian, and Doña Joaquina dos Santos, a Portuguese lady, was born at Oporto, March 6, 1843. He began to learn the piano at four years of age under the direction of his father, who was a professor of music in that city.
