Summary
Never trust an experiment that is not supported by a good theory
– Jacques MonodAfter reading the four main parts of the book, one naturally begins to think about what the broader implications of COBRA are and what lies ahead for this field. This fifth part of the text begins to address these issues. First we talk about the core values that the COBRA approach is based on. We delineate the educational values associated with the material and try to outline the background that is needed to practice in this field. We finish the book with a brainstorming chapter that discusses the broader implications of genome-scale models and how they are likely to affect the life sciences going forward.
