Summary
The final chapter summarizes principles of multimedia instruction that are based on evidence and grounded in theory. The chapter also describes two boundary conditions that can determine when a principle is likely or unlikely to apply – the applicability of some principles depends (a) on the prior knowledge of the learner and (b) on the complexity and pacing of the material in the lesson.
