You will never
Treat the same patient twice

As while you treat them,
They metamorphose
Into an abundance of themselves
Manifesting in the patient as an artist,
As an athlete,
As a husband or wife,
Or all of them at once

And like the stained glass
Found in the Alhambra
Each shard bends light a little differently
Despite encompassing the glass mosaic ceiling as a collective

Over time, each piece obtains its opportunity to shine
And illuminates with splendor
Although depending on the season
Some may hibernate, while still being present

With each visit, I always look forward
To learning more

Competing interests
